As your Awards Director I have thought of all the possibilities for Awarding and Rewarding our membership and realize for some the concept of just filling out all those forms for so many awards may seem quite daunting.  So my answer, PICK ONE, just one, poll your club and see which award excites them, which one would mean the most to them and plan on winning.  It could be as simple as the Attendance Trophy – this alone can foster better dedication from your membership, or it can be as challenging as the Public Relations or History Book Awards.  Whatever your club decides if you can all envision receiving that award you can win.
THE NEXT STEP

Once you have decided on winning, make a plan, get an awards chairperson for your club and give them all the information they need.
Make a list of the requirements for your chosen Award, review them at your meetings, keep your members excited about the progress you are making even if it seems like baby steps were made they all add up to a completed submission.
By planning ahead your members and Awards Chairperson will know what your club’s goal is for the whole year as opposed to the mad scramble for all the information at the end of April.

I will post again soon.
